Privacy Policy
We use Google Analytics to measure page visits and have no accounts. Tool calculations run in your browser; analytics, price requests and email contact are described separately below.
Short version
These pages include Google Analytics, which can send page, device and browser information to Google and use analytics cookies. That is separate from calculations performed by the tools in your browser. We have no accounts and never need wallet keys.
Page statistics and accounts
- Analytics. Google Analytics measures page visits and sends measurement requests to Google.
- No advertising. No third-party ad slots and no ad tracking scripts.
- Analytics cookies. Where your browser permits them, Google Analytics can set cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions. You can clear or restrict them in your browser.
- No accounts. Nothing to register for and no login.
- No forms. Apart from email contact below, nothing on this site submits data anywhere.
What the tools do with your input
The five tools perform their calculations and decisions in your browser. Their application code does not upload the amounts, rates, coin quantities or choices you enter. The pages also include Google Analytics: local calculation does not mean a page makes no network requests.
- Calculator and spread checker — the amounts, fees and coin figures you enter are used only for local arithmetic. These two pages make one request to a public price endpoint to fetch a bitcoin price. That request retrieves a price and carries none of your input.
- Decision tool and checklist — your selections determine which text is shown locally; the page can still send analytics requests.
- Receipt diagram — static, with nothing to enter.
Third-party requests
Pages request Google analytics scripts and send measurement data. The calculation tools and home pages also fetch bitcoin prices from data-api.binance.vision. Services receiving these requests may see your IP address and basic browser information. See Google's cookie documentation (checked October 2026).
You can restrict analytics cookies or block Google Analytics requests through your browser. Blocking the price endpoint lets you use manual price entry instead.
Fonts on this site are self-hosted, so no request is made to any font service.
Server logs
As with virtually all websites, the server and the content delivery network in front of it record standard access logs — IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser identifier. These support availability and security. They are not used to profile visitors and are not shared with third parties for marketing.
If you email us
Writing to ask@curbtoll.com means we see your address and what you wrote. That is used only to reply and to deal with what you raised.
- Never used for marketing of any kind.
- Never sold or passed to third parties.
- If something you share is used in an article, all identifying detail is removed, and anything describing a specific case is only used with your agreement.
- Emails no longer needed are deleted.
Once more, because it matters: never send recovery phrases, private keys, passwords, identity documents or full personal details. We don't need them, and anyone asking you for them is stealing from you.
Your rights
Contact the email address below to ask about visit data or request deletion of an email you sent us. Identify the relevant page or message without sending account passwords or other secrets. You can also clear analytics cookies in your browser.
Children
This site is written for adults. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the date at the top, and significant ones will also appear in corrections.
