Privacy Policy

Short version

This site runs no analytics or advertising code, has no accounts, sets no tracking cookies and collects no personal information. Everything you enter into the tools stays in your own browser and is never uploaded.

Things we don't do

No analytics. There is no visitor measurement service on this site and no measurement tag in the pages.
No advertising. No third-party ad slots and no ad tracking scripts.
No tracking cookies. Nothing is written to identify or follow you.
No accounts. Nothing to register for and no login.
No forms. Apart from email contact below, nothing on this site submits data anywhere.

What the tools do with your input

There are five tool pages. What they share: everything runs in your browser, nothing is sent to a server, nothing is written to local storage. Close the page and it's gone.

Calculator and spread checker — the amounts, fees and coin figures you enter are used only for local arithmetic. These two pages make one request to a public price endpoint to fetch a bitcoin price. That request retrieves a price and carries none of your input.
Decision tool and checklist — your selections only decide which block of text is shown, and make no external request at all.
Receipt diagram — static, with nothing to enter.

Worth spelling out given the subject matter: if you tick several boxes on the scam checklist, nobody learns that. Those selections never leave your device.

Third-party requests

The only external request this site makes is the two calculation tools and the home pages fetching a bitcoin price from data-api.binance.vision. As with any network request, the receiving service can generally see your IP address and basic browser information — an inherent property of connecting to anything, which we cannot conceal on your behalf.

If you'd rather it didn't happen, block that domain in your browser. The tools will switch to manual price entry and everything else continues to work.

Fonts on this site are self-hosted, so no request is made to any font service.

Server logs

As with virtually all websites, the server and the content delivery network in front of it record standard access logs — IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser identifier. These support availability and security. They are not used to profile visitors and are not shared with third parties for marketing.

If you email us

Writing to [email protected] means we see your address and what you wrote. That is used only to reply and to deal with what you raised.

Never used for marketing of any kind.
Never sold or passed to third parties.
If something you share is used in an article, all identifying detail is removed, and anything describing a specific case is only used with your agreement.
Emails no longer needed are deleted.

Once more, because it matters: never send recovery phrases, private keys, passwords, identity documents or full personal details. We don't need them, and anyone asking you for them is stealing from you.

Your rights

Since we don't collect personal data in the first place, there is usually nothing to access, correct or erase. If you have emailed us and want that message and its contents deleted, say so and it will be done.

Children

This site is written for adults. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the date at the top, and significant ones will also appear in corrections.
